The survey was conducted with both jobseekers and employers showing that poor hiring procedures can affect an employer’s reputation and brand. A key finding is that 88% of professionals discuss their experiences of a job application process with friends and colleagues – who would tend to be in similar professions at similar levels. So word can spread quickly and create a positive or negative perception. Providing a positive experience for job applicants, regardless of whether they are successful in securing the role, is therefore crucial. Our research aims to provide employers and hiring managers with an insight into the preferences of professionals when searching and applying for jobs and shows where they are currently falling short. This information can then help them to attract the best possible people.
