(Mar. 3, 2015,/HRoot.com/) From 13 March, all licensed recruitment agencies deploying domestic workers must have their own Facebook account according to a ruling by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), according to interaksyon.com. In Memorandum Circular 1, series of 2015, POEA Administrator Hans Leo Cacdac said Facebook accounts would be used as a communication platform for deployed domestic workers, to prevent disputes, to endorse complaints and to submit reports to the POEA. In a news release, Cacdac emphasised that the requirement to have a Facebook account is imposed upon recruitment agencies deploying household service workers and is not a requirement for the workers themselves.
